The paint bucket tool

This tool lets you change the texture and color on your project. If you click on the paint bucket or go to the tools menu and click on paint bucket it will bring up materials. There will be a drop down menu so you can change the material you are using. If you click on edit you can change the color of the material you are using. I experimented with it and did a lot of playing around. It was fun to see how the different materials mad the object look so different.

Done with Project 4

I am finally done with this project. I really liked working with sketchup. There are so many possibilities. I love the way it lets you see your whole project from every angle. I also really like that you can place it anywhere in google earth. It makes a vision feel real or for some a reality. I had some difficulty trying to get screen shots of my project though. The prt sc was not working for me. I was so lucky to have a fellow classmate give me a pretty cool tip. Joanna told me about the snipping tool. After I tried it I was done with my project in 5 min. Good luck to everyone.

Project 4 headache

I was having fun with sketchup, then I got to the part where you have to do a walk through and put google earth on it. So now I don't like it anymore. I can not get the snap shots to work and I have read every tutorial I can find, and I gave up on google earth for now. If anyone can help I would appreciate.

The picture at the top of my page I took when we lived in Hawaii. We went to the North Shore on Oahu for X-mas eve in 2004. I really miss doing that. Hopefully in about a year we will be back there to stay.

Project 4

OK I was having fun with sketchup until I tried to add google earth. These projects are very time consuming. What I mean is you get started and there is only so much you can do by playing with it the rest you have to research. If you are like me you have to keep the tutorials in one window and keep referring to them, the problem I find is that it doesn't tell me everything. Then I just want to throw the whole thing across the room. I do like learning new things but without all the info or help I am going to go bald. Just needed to vent a little. I am probably the only one having problems.

I thought I would also share a drawing that I did for my sons baseball coach from a picture I took . I have included both the picture and the drawing. We gave it to him as a special gift. I like to do things like this because it really means something and holds many memories.

This site has some really neat stuff. I remember in the 80's Vogue magazines there was a watch company that used this kind of art to advertise. It may have been Rolex but I am not 100% about this though. I remember always being fascinated by this. ImUusual.com/Unusual Body Art http://www.myunusual.com/downloads/Unusual_Body_ArtC.html
